Assisted Raptor Transformation

As I came to, I found myself laying face down on the ground of a tropical forest. My shoes and socks had been taken, along with any form of ID. They had left me here for dead, and there was no way anyone would ever find me as this was a restricted location.

I did not want to move, but something was nudging my body, something large. I did not think much of it till I herd it churring and warbling. When I lifted my self up with my arms and looked to the side, I froze, for looking back at me was a large creature, a dinosaur. From what i could tell, it was a type of raptor.

My attempts to lift myself up and move away were futile, I was still a little achy from being knocked out and tossed to the ground. The beast carried me a little deeper into the forest, then placed me on the ground. I staggered a bit but managed to stand. It seemed to almost smile at me, looking at me curiously, nuzzling my sides and back a bit, if it wanted to eat me there was nothing I would be able to do to stop it.

After what seemed like an inspection, the raptor placed one of its hands on my back, I could feel the tips of the claws just barely pressing into my flesh, but not breaking it. I felt a warm sensation spread from that spot into my body, arms, legs everywhere. Then I heard a voice in my mind.

“Do not be afraid, I am not going to hurt you...just...relax...it won't hurt...I promise”

The voice was female, I assumed it was coming from the raptor. Suddenly my body surged with a strange kind of energy, and I felt myself growing, changing. Clothing bursting and falling tattered to the ground. The change felt wonderful, my old life fading, and my new one taking its place.

To the ones who left me on this island, I am most grateful, even if they don't know it.

Done on paper, colored fixed, tweaked and such in painter 9. At first it did not have any feathery crests, but it felt more complete with them.
