However I realized that a comic (The dragon transformation one, not sure if any others) is lacking the character's inner monologue. Where could I find the version with the text?

Do you have some tips on doing TFs?
Experiment while drawing over and over again, practice to no end, it took me a long time to figure it out. Maybe look at both human and animal photos to figure out and compare.
What do you mean by "figure out and compare"?
Look at what would change into what on each part of body, and make an in-between state.
